LVL:Unlimited – Dive in the Future of TOKYO GAME SHOW 2025

What is the Tokyo Game Show All About?

Tokyo Game Show, Japan’s largest gaming convention organized by Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association (CESA) with Nikkei Business Publications Inc. and Sony Music Solutions Inc. is held annually every September at Makuhari Messe. Following the success of Tokyo Game Show 2024, it successfully featured a number of 985 exhibiting titles from various gaming studios and companies brought by 44 countries from all over the world.

GDAP Vice president and Membership Committee Head Solon Chen, with the representatives from Nikkei Business Publications Inc. Taiyo Tanabe and Shinri Endo delivered insights for the Tokyo Game Show 2025 bound to happen on September 25-28, 2025, at Halls 1-11 of Makuhari Messe Convention Center in Chiba, Japan, which will be open for entrepreneurs and the public.

Towards Growth & Improvement

The program showcased comprehensive data recording the steadfast growth of Japan’s gaming industry, which doubled from the past five years. Now gaining a significant increase in traction, its growth is expected to triple in the next 10 years. They also held overseas event briefing sessions in other major Asian cities as part of their international campaign to promote TGS and hold exhibitions and events in North America, Europe, Asia and Middle East.

With 274,739 attendees last year, the preparations for the most-awaited gaming convention are made. Launched with a theme of “Unlimited, Neverending Playground”, Tokyo Gaming Show has all the intention to transform the place into an inclusive and diverse playground for everyone. Expecting a total number of 250,000 attendees in four days, they adjusted the opening hours for Public day to grant more time for the attendees, highlighted the All-Accessibility Area to explore, and improved the area layout to ensure safety and satisfaction for their patrons.


New Area: All-Accessibility Area

This area is open to everyone, regardless of disability, cognition or age. Not only will it allow people to enjoy various games, but also discover tools, services, and products that are beneficial in providing comfort and joy in adapting to diverse and inclusive gaming environments.

Ultimate gaming experience brought online!

 The Tokyo Game Show 2025 will also maintain the hybrid features of the event, including physical and virtual venues through an official live show streamed on STEAM.

A Place for Exhibition and Business Ventures

As the source of the latest gaming trends and developments for developers and creators, the Tokyo Game Show is also a great platform for growing their business. New connections will be forged through a Business Matching System to cater business meetings and discussions in the event. Business Pavillions will also be opened with AI tools and services to easily access support and solutions for AI development.

The program also provided important guidelines and specifications for the exhibitor booths, including their rates and packages available. They also added options for advertising and online exhibition opportunities.

Tokyo Game Show 2025 will open applications for games and titles for Indie80. They also prepared the Indie Game Project Sponsorship Plan to provide support and amplify the platform for indie developers in the industry indie game title.

Selected titles for Indie80 will be showcased in Tokyo Game Show 2025 with the following benefits:

Schedules for Tickets
