The hit anime series with over 10 million copies sold returns for a global theatrical premiere of DAN DA DAN: The Evil Eye!
The movie revisits the eccentricities of the first season, kicking off with the first three episodes from the most anticipated second season, which is going to be aired in July! It picks up the plot of the Cursed House and Evil Eye arc, with the story of Momo and Okarun setting out on a heart-pounding adventure, unraveling the secrets behind the strange events in a house rented by Momo’s childhood friend and crush, Jiji, in a mysteriously secluded hot spring town ruled by the Kito Family for generations. Stunningly animated by the renowned Science SARU (known for Devilman Crybaby and Scott Pilgrim Takes Off), series directors Fuga Yamashiro and Abel Gongora shared their creative journey and vision for the series in an exclusive interview featured in the film!
Sold-Out Fan Screening in the Philippines!
Officially brought by Muse Philippines, together with Robinsons Movieworld, Filipino anime (and probably occult, sci-fi, and supernatural beings) fans in the Philippines gathered at the special fan screening of DAN DA DAN: The Evil Eye last May 30, 2025, at Robinsons Galleria Ortigas to witness the intense, one-of-a-kind showdown between the unnatural forces in the new theatrical movie. A special fan screening was also held last June 1, 2025, at Robinsons Movieworld Galleria Cebu.
Fans were able to step into an out-of-this-world Dan Da Dan experience with multiple souvenirs and photo opportunities with the standees of Momo, Jiji, Okarun, and of course, Turbo Granny!
Dan Da Dan cosplayers are also present to ramp up the mystical energy! Impressive portrayals brought by Jin (behindinfinity), Mira Rae Cosplay, Nines, Kystel Cosplay, Nyaaati, moepix, and Nicola Ber were seen at the fan screening, making the experience more special for the fans!
Fun pre-show activities with exciting prizes featuring exclusive DAN DA DAN themed merchandise and the newest DAN DA DAN themed pieces from Uniqlo Philippines! Fans also received free snacks and freebies like movie posters and random collectible cards for fans to look back on!

The fans have spoken! After the screening, some of the audience were invited for a short interview to share their DAN DA DAN experience! Filipino voice actor Jefferson Utanes, famously dubbed “Goku ng Pinas” was also spotted on the scene!
According to a Facebook post from Muse Asia, the movie became a blockbuster hit, garnering ₱1.5 million at the Philippine box office just weeks after it was officially screened in selected Robinsons Movieworld branches on June 4, 2025.
