Imagine this, a store with rows and rows of Gashapon machines as far as the eyes could see. This is what Bandai Namco opened up on 26 February 2021 in Ikebukuro.
The Gashapon Official Shop located in Sunshine City, Ikebukuro is Bandai Namco’s flasgship store for its Gashapon Capsule Toy line. The store will feature a wide variety of capsule toys from different properties, including store-exclusives.
The shop will carry a total of 3000 capsule toy machines and dubbed as the largest capsule toy store according to Guinness World Records. Aside from the standard capsule machines, the store will feature “Smart Gashapon” which supports cashless payments and “Premium Gashapon” which are high quality toys. The shop will also feature an exhibit of old capsule toy machines and showcase the history of capsule toys.
