Bandai has announced that they will start ceasing operations and closing all physical and online outlets of Gundam Cafe with the last outlet to close on March 2022.
The first physical outlet to close is Gundam Square in Osaka on January 10, 2022. Next is the Akihabara branch with the Odaiba and Fukuoka branches will close on January 30, 2022.
The only remaining Gundam Cafe that will be operational after January 2022 is the Gundam Cafe Yokohama Satellite which is part of the Gundam Factory Yokohama. However, Gundam Factory Yokohama is a limited-time attraction that will end on March 30, 2022.
Bandai did not give out a reason for the closure of the Gundam branches.
Bandai asked people to look forward to a new project.
