The event was not only filled by passionate fans of top-rated anime Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba) and cosplay enthusiasts, but also with prominent figures in the industry. 

Hosted by Kring Kim, the stage event became lively as she enthusiastically introduced the speakers Mr. Dymas Novalavantio, from Muse Communication, and Ms. Happee Sy Go from PULP Spaces+ to give their opening remarks. The ribbon cutting ceremony was also star-studded as they invited the Chief Operating Officer of ACO Media, Mr. Melwin Tan, CEO and Chairperson Grace Glory Go, and Araneta’s Management Team with Mr. Antonio Mardo, Mr. Noel Leonor, and Mr. Rowell Recinto.

The first appearance of Tanjiro Kamado Mascot hyped up the crowd and opened the special meet and greet opportunity with the guests. To acknowledge the presence of the honorable District 3 Action Officer Atty. Tom De Castro, he was the first to snap a photo together with the demon-slaying protagonist.

Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte also graced the event with her presence and greeted everyone with a smile as they explored inside the exhibition zones. The grand launch marked a significant milestone as they witnessed the exhibition in the country for the first time since it was first launched in the major cities in Japan in 2020, and followed by Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Malaysia soon after.

PULP Spaces+ promises to bring the world of Demon Slayer closer to everyone by faithfully designing the event to let the visitors deeply appreciate the bravery and determination of the best sword fighters to end the dreadful reign of demons. If you want to feel the intensity of slaying them, join the Kamado siblings Tanjiro and Nezuko, along with their friends Zenitsu and Inosuke, and the infamous Hashiras of the Demon Slaying Corp with these number of immersive activities and exhibits that highlights their heart-pounding journey!

Their interactive displays outside the exhibition doors are already a treat for the fans, but the characters’ life-sized inflatables sitting throughout the area welcomes every mall-goer with a smile!

The exhibition walls also feature the LED display of character portraits to add more demon-slaying ambiance. You can also see the standees of beloved 9 Hashiras of the Demon Slaying Corps standing with accurate height comparisons.  Before commencing your journey, you can take a photo and know what you will look like when you stand with them side by side!

Inside the massive spaces of the exhibition area features a total of 16 zones that will surely take you on a trip down memory lane. Each zone reflects their own themes based on the iconic story arcs in the series, and highlights the key elements  that gained a special place in everyone’s heart.

Step into  the Reality of Demon Slaying with these Real-life Sceneries

Have you ever wondered what it feels like to be in an adventure that can make you feel like a powerful samurai, or experience pure sorrow during a difficult situation?  If you ever had these thoughts while bingeing the series, you’ll definitely feel like you’re isekai’d with the exhibition’s real-life reproduction of the most memorable locations in the anime!

Don’t fret if you feel like your breath is taken away! You just walked (not climbed) in the iconic Mount Fujisakane filled with mesmerising Wisteria flowers! This fascinating zone will surely make you feel the magic of moving forward and passing the Final Selection!

If you are ready to set your heart ablaze again, embarking on the real-life Mugen Train is for you! This newly added zone retells the story of how Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu, and Inosuke followed Kyojuro Rengoku, the Flame Hashira to find the demon that haunts the train. 

Become a passenger by grabbing a seat in this true-to-life train carriage and make sure to look outside in the train’s window to reminisce Rengoku’s act of bravery by fighting valiantly against the Upper Rank Three, Akaza to protect the passengers of the train.

Just across the train,  you can also see the various forms of another Mugen Train’s antagonist, Enmu! You can also get the chance to dream how stomach-churning the forms can be in reality by activating its special mechanism!

If life is too boring and you want to have a real, flashy experience, then a mission in the Entertainment District Zone would be up to your alley! Join the lovely ladies of Yoshiwara: Sumiko, Inoko, and Zenko; together with the Sound Hashira, Tengen Uzui in uncovering the secrets lurking behind the district’s shadows!

To become a Demon or a Slayer?

Whatever you aspire to be, you can gain ultimate power with knowledge by visiting the places they used to grow and train! If you are a Slayer with a goal to defeat demons and avenge humanity, then it’s extremely important to know your enemies’ strengths, capabilities, and vital points! You can get all the information you need in the wall scroll posted inside the House of Demons zone!

Meeting the leader can be difficult, especially in a crowded place, but in the Infinity Castle zone, there is a special mechanism that will allow visitors to experience the feeling of falling into the myriads of rotating rooms, doors, and platforms just to have an audience with the one and only Muzan Kibutsuji. You can also hear the eerie sound of Biwa strung by Nakime. Total goosebumps!

Found yourself allured by Muzan’s power or are you simply curious how the infamous Demon Slayer Corps survived an era? If you want to learn more, the stronghold of Demon Slayers will satiate your curiosity! The Headquarters will give you a chance to delve deeper into their records through wall scrolls,  get a close-up with the characters’ portrait hanging right across the replicas of their individual Nichirin Swords that they use to cut demons in their vital points, and even Nezuko’s wooden box that Tanjiro carries!

More Zones To Explore To Spark Your Imagination

Don’t let the fun and excitement stop you there as the zones continue to bring you closer to your favourite characters! Fellow artists and animation geeks will  be in awe as the exhibition brings the massive animation sketches and drafts in the Eyecatch Collection made by the series’ animator and character designer, Akira Matsushima.In the Shikishi Display Corner, you can see a lot of commemorative  illustrations made by ufotable’s staff members to express their overflowing love and passion towards the series. You can also stimulate your senses and revel in a breathtaking moment  of battling demons once again with the exhibition’s immersive audio-visual zones, lifelike standees and photo spots!
