Introduced in 
Cosplay Carnival 2022, the 
Plus Ultra Ticket System was developed with SM Tickets for 
Anime and Cosplay Expo 2022 on July 16-17, 2022 to better control ticket quantities and at the same time avoid periods where tickets will be temporarily sold out.
In essence, there are 3 ticket tiers: 
Ultra (P249), 
Plus (P299) and 
Regular (P349) with Ultra being the most limited and the most inexpensive and Regular being the least limited and the most expensive. In this system, rather than reactively adding tickets as they get sold out, the con-goer has the option to purchase the next available tier right away and without delay.
To avoid ticket hoarding, we are also limiting the number of tickets that can be purchased per transaction to 3. This will also help to avoid people taking advantage of a shortage to buy up all available tickets to sell at a higher price.
We are also placing a hard ticket cap on tickets. Typically, we would reserve tickets that can only be sold on the day of the convention. These tickets have been notoriously difficult to track so we are doing away with this reserve entirely. This means that if tickets sell out before the event, no tickets will be available for sale during the event.
This will place priority firmly on people who made the effort to purchase tickets early and, at the same time, ensures that the con-goers remain in manageable numbers thus avoiding long lines and wait times.
In addition, there will be NO TICKET BOOTH at SMX Convention Center Manila. An on-site ticket booth contributes heavily to traffic and congestion during the event. Instead, tickets will be available at the nearby SM Mall of Asia Arena where a dedicated lane will be provided for Anime and Cosplay Expo 2022. This will be, of course, only if there are still tickets remaining on the day of the event.
We have developed this system with the enjoyment of the con-goers in mind. We have also coordinated with SMX Convention Center Manila and SM Tickets to streamline systems to minimize wait times in lines and speed up entry into the convention.
In addition, the tickets will have an easter egg linked to their designs. Each tier has a slightly different design, but to discover this easter egg, you will have to assemble the different ticket types to form the image.
