The Cosplay Museum is a joint project of Cosplay.ph and Diliman Preparatory School, thus creating a venue for Cosplay – providing individuals and enthusiasts alike with valuable information on the history of Cosplay in the Philippines as well as giving a semi-permanent home for weekly workshops, discussions and casual gatherings. This also gives a home to the creativity and determination of Filipino Cosplayers and photographers whose hard work can be reflected on the costumes and photos that embellish the museum.

Cosplay Gallery

A photo is worth more than a thousand words.

The museum houses a variety of photographs from some of the country’s best Cosplay photographers. From quaint to poignant, the images capture more than just excitement and drama on stage and behind the scenes – it reveals the fineness of Cosplay from the eyes of those who perceive its true potential.

From 2000 to present, the Cosplay Museum presents a historical timeline that present the momentous events in Cosplay history in the country.

Cosplay Costume Display

In history, we see remarkable changes on the traditional costumes from different countries. Some renditions seem to vary on diverse parts of the world – from one country to another; same goes with Cosplay. Cosplayers may have different techniques in creating their costume-masterpiece, with sheets of rubber to spectacular robots and layers of fabric to elegant gowns – the Cosplay costume display exhibits the variety inherent in Cosplay in the Philippines.

Cosplay Workshops

One of the more interactive aspects of the Cosplay Museum is the Cosplay Workshops that allows virtually anyone to learn the craft of Cosplay costume building from veteran Cosplayers. The workshops will not only focus on technique and but will also discuss the essence of using recycled materials, and balancing one’s life to avoid forming bad habits – teaching the youth teamwork, resourcefulness and determination that they can use in daily life.

Cosplay Gatherings

The Cosplay Museum provides a non-competitive and relaxed setting where Cosplayers can gather in and out of costume to discuss, mingle and enjoy the company of other cosplayers.

This environment allows them to build costumes in a safe working environment under the guidance of the museum staff. Other cosplay events such as mini-catwalks, Maid Cafe days and other special events can also be held in the venue, fostering friendship and support between cosplayers of all levels.
